Katana in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

The blade was polished by good polisher.
Blade length : 72.0 cm or 28.34 inches.
Sori :1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.10 cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.67 cm or 0.65 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is regular sized with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with jinie attach and visible to see the beautiful texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair with ash scatter and from Monouchi area to kissaki is Hitatsura hamon very active tobiyaki also.

Special feature : Fuyuhiro was a son of the Sosyu Hirotsugu and learned from Sosyu Tsunahiro.
At a grinch the blade looks regular gunome midair but checked carefully you will find very active Hitatsura hamon.
This sword is active complex hamon and nice Jigane which likes by expert eyes.
The blade is good condition without Kizu and flow.

Historical background : 1560 famous battle occurred at Okehazama.
At Okehazama, Imagawa Daimyo and Oda Nobunaga Daimyo fought each other.
Imagawa daimyo feared to fight and payed attention around these areas and distributed the power.
Suddenly by heavy rain, Imagawa troop rested that place by easy mind.
Oda troops raided Imagawa troop and killed Imagawa Yoshimoto by Mori.
By the sudden death of Imagawa Yoshimoto, Imagawa troop descend into chaos.
Oda came off of a great victory.
