Katana in Shirasaya (NBTHK Tokubetsu Hozon paper)

The blade was polished.
habaki: gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 63.9 cm or 25.15 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.27 cm or 0.89 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.3 cm or 0.51 inches.
Kasane : 0.5 cm or 0.19 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei slender
with deep sori and small kissaki elegant shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada and komomume hada mixed
with thick jinie attach and very clear utsuri appear.
Hamon : Konie plate suguha and notare hamon with many ashi work.

Special feature : Unsho worked at Bizen Ukan schooland was called Unrui. He has also made calm feeling swords.
It is yamashiro style and is similar to Rai school pieces.
The blade is originally Kodachi which is slender sword.
The blade is very nice texture without kizu and scratches.
On the Shinogiji also item and mokume hada mixed.
It is very fortunate because the shinogiji was not engraved by bo-hi.
If the blade will be polished again, the blade will be changed a lot.
