Sayagaki: Dr.Kanzan: Hoki kami Ason Masayuki Kansei 10 nen 2gatu 66 sai nari(February 1798 at age of 66).
Blade length is 2 syaku 3sun 4bu(71.0cm)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 71.0 cm or 27.95 inches.
Sori : 1.7 cm or 0.66 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.46 cm or 1.36 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.72 cm or 1.07 inches.
Kasane : 0.82 cm or 0.32 inches.
Era : Late Edo period. around Kansei era.
Shape : Wide(3.46cm) and thick blade with Bohi. Kissaki is long.
Jitetsu : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached. This is blackish typical Satsuma blade.
Hamon : Nie Deki, deep Nioikuchi Gunome Midare.
In Ha, there are a lot of Sunagashi, Kinsuji. This is typical Satsuma Hamon.

Special feature : Special feature : Hoki no kami Taira Ason Masayuki
and Motohira both twin jewels in Satsuma province.
He learned the technique of sword making from his father Masayoshi
and beyond his skill and made many attractive swords.
From Kyoho 18 until Bunsei 2nd, he lived 87 years of ages achieved his long life.
