Signature : Showa Hei Tatsu sai 2 gatsu Yoshiwara Yoshindo Saku.

The blade was made at Showa 51st (1976)
By Yoshihara Yoshindo.(Yoshihito)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Yoshihara Yoshindo belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Blade length : 75.0 cm or 29.52 inches.
Sori : 2.8 cm or 1.10 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.275 cm or 1.28 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Weight of the blade is 865 grams.
Era : Modern times 1976 (Syowa 51st)
Shape : The blade is wide and thick and engraved Bo-Hi
with deep Sori which looks like middle Kamakura period.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach nice old style Jigane.
Hamon : Nie deck gunome and cyoji midair mixed with ash.
In Hamon, there are Kinsuji sunagashi work.

Special feature : Yoshiwara Yoshindo is one of the top ranking
sword smith who is called Mukansa sword maker.
He was born at Syowa 18th(1943) and learned sword
making technique and got the prize of TAKAMATU MIYA PRIZE
at Syowa 57th(1957) and became Mukansa sword smith.  
He got a lot of prizes until now.
The Metropolitan Museum, Boston Museum bought his swords
and worked at oversea.
Probably he is the nearest stage for Ningen kokuho(National treasure)
Recently it is very hard to buy his sword for sale.
