The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 67.87 cm or 26.72 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.7 inches.
Mekugi:4
Width at the hamachi : 2.71 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.61 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Nanbokucho period - Kyoto province. (about 600 years ago)
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick suriage nakago (about 6 cm) with nice brilliant looking Tachi shape.
Jitetsu : Itame and Mokume hada mixed with jinie attach and chikei work.
Hamon : Nie based - Notare, Gunome and Togari midare mixed and kinsuji gakari work.
Boshi is small midare shaped Yakizume style.

Special feature : Nobukuni started from Oan era (about 1368).
And they continued through 3 generations and also spread to Chikushi province , Buzen province, Bungo province and Higo province.
This blade was made by Kyo province (Yamashiro) Nobukuni. His master was Soushu Sadamune. The 2nd generation is Gengoro, 3rd generation is Genzaemon, and the 4th generation is Shikibu no Jyou Nobukuni.
With the passage of the time, they made mainly sunnobi tanto or tanto of Midareba style and engraving blade. Also he made few Tachi (Very very rare, hard to find).
The blade is wild feeling beautiful sword without Kizu and flow. We strongly recommend this tachi for you.
