Tachi : Mumei (Uda Kunimune)

Tachi in Koshirae(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Mumei (Uda Kunimune)

The blade was polished by good polisher.
Habaki:gold color double habaki.
(one side is gold color de touched and cracked)
Blade length : 74.84 cm or 29.4 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.0cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.0cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Early Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is rather long and regular size width, thickness
with deep sori and longer kissaki nice looking shape.
Jitetsu :Itame hada well grained with jinie attach blackish jigane
and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha and notare and also small gunome midare with ashi deep nioikuchi.
In Hamon, there are many sunagashi ,Kinsuji work.

Special feature : The firat genertion Uda school started from Nanbokucyo oeriod to late Muromachi.
Generally Uda school Jigane is visible to see the texture well and blackish jigane.
This sword is also visible to see the texture well and active wild feeling hamon good harmony Jigane and Hamon.
The shinogi ji is itame ahda and Masame hada mixed.

Koshirae : good condition and well balance Koshirae.
Tsuba :Yamagane Tachi Tsubaa.
Fuchikashira :On the yamagane plate, awabi shell and leaves are engraved.
Saya : Aogai chirashi.(tiny blue shell powder spred on the Saya.)
Menuki : Probably solid gold dragon is engraved.
