Tachi in Shirasaya with Koshirae.(NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Nagamitsu(Unknown province, Early Muromachi period)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword Nagamitsu belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
habaki: gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 78.45 cm or 30.88 inches.
Sori : 3.48 cm or 1.37 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.0 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 0.95 cm or 0.37 inches.
Kasane : 0.86 cm or 0.33 inches.
Era : Early Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jigane : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach and utsuri appear.
Hamon :Niedeki ko-gunome midare with sunagashi and small kinsuji.
Boshi is notare and round shape.

Special feature:The blade was attributed as Nagamitsu(Unknown province, Early Muromachi period).
The previous owner thought that the blade is Bizen nagamitsu
but we guess that the blade was made at Takada.
Probably he was very shocked and discouraged
but the blade itself nice amost Ubu style sword.
The blade has kept in good condition for a long period.

Koshirae : Tachi Koshirae.
Saya :Gold Makie with family crests are painted by gold color.
