Tanto in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature: Kanefusa Saku.

Kanzan sensei's Sayagaki.

The blade was polished.
Habaki: gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 29.39 cm or 11.57 inches.
Sori : 0.18 cm or 0.07 inches.
Mekugi: 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.63 cm or 1.03 inches.
Kasane : 0.50 cm or 0.19 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi  period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick mitsumune style longer Sunnobi tanto.
Jitetsu :Itame had Masanagare with jinie attach strong feeling blackish jignae.
Hamon : Niedeki kogunome midair and togari gunome midair mix and turns back Yakisage style.

Special feature : Kanefusa belonged to Mino Akasaka Zenjyo school
and continued several generations. but it is difficult to distinguish which generation.
At Mino province, Kanesada, Kanemoto, Kanesada(Hachiya) Kanefusa, Kaneaki
and Kanenori are well known sword makers.
This Tanto is wild feeling atmosphere well grained texture and nice Hamon.
