Tanto : Kanegishi(Seki school)

Tanto in Shirasaya, with Koshirae.(NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Kanegishi Seki school.

Suekoto:Mino:Cyusaku.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 22.0 cm or 8.66 inches.
Sori : No sori
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.01 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.53cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period. kyoroku era 1528.
Shape : The bled is regular size nice elegant shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach fantastic texture but Ura sade(back side) has Kitaeware.
Hamon : Nioideki Gunome midair and round shape boshi and Yakisage deep.

Special feature : Kanegishi was swordsmith at Mino province in late Muromachi period.
The blade looks Sosyu style active hamon.
The blade has some kizu on the urea sade(back side) but not serious.
The blade is elegant shape nice jigane and Hamon.
It is said that Kanegishi was a student of Kanetsune or Kanefusa.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Shibuichi Hamidashi tsuba.
Fuchi : On the syakudo nanako plate, family crests are engraved with gold color. Kasher :Horn.
Saya : Black ishimeji saya.
Menuki : A chicken is engraved with gold color.
Tsuka : Dasisame(Shark Skin)
