(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku, Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.

Shinto : Chusaku : Wazamono : Echizen
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 27.6 cm or 10.86 inches.
Sori : No Sori
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.48 cm or 0.97 inches.
Kasane : 0.65 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo Perid Circa Kanbun
Shape : It is wide and thick solid Tanto.
Jitetsu : Itame had and mokume had mixed with jinie attach and blackish jigane also visible to see the texture well.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with many Ashi with deep Nioikuchi.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Shimofusa Daijyo Kanemasa is a Echizen smith successful during Kanbun period.
It is similar to Echizen Harima Daijyo Shigetaka.
This Tanto is Mumei, but the blade is very nice.

Koshirae :
Fuchikashira, kurikata, kojiri: all matching silver fittings consist of the flower design.
Saya : Black roar saya.
Menuki : On the Shakudo plate, Shishi dogs are engraved.
Kozuka : On the Syakudo nanako plate, a shishi dog and a peony flower is engraved with gold color.
