Jidai(era) :Late Edo period.
Special feature:On the oval figure shape, rise up mimi(rim) and on the Ji,
a lobster and bamboo leaves are engraved. It looks alive and moving around active shape.
From ancient period in Japan, especially Oshogatsu(New years'day)'
celebration, decorate lobster and bamboo leaves and pray happy days
and hope lucky days.
This Tsuba is very nice quality anf good condition.
