Wakizashi: Bichu Kami Tachibana Yasuhiro the 1st generation

Wakizashi in Shirasaya. (NBTHKTokubetsu Hozon paper) (consignment sale)
Signature : Bichu Kami Tachibana Yasuhiro (the first generation)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijo saku, Jojo saku Jo saku and regular saku)
This sword Yasuhiro belongs to Jojo saku ranking.

The blade is polished.
Habaki : Silver double habaki.
Blade length : 52.4 cm or 20.6 inches.
Sori :1.0 cm or 0.4 inches.
Mekugi : 1 
Width at the hamachi : 3.17cm or 1.25 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.33 cm or 0.92 inches.
Kasane : 0.7cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo oeriod Kanbun era.

Shape : The blade is wide and thick with suitable sori and longer Kissaki nice looking shape.
Jigane : Koitame-hada well grained with Jinie attached nice Oosaka texture.
Hamon : From Hamachi, Nioideki Suguha and then Choji-midare Hamon Mixed up Fukuro choji, Juka Choji-midare Hamon with Ashi, Yo scatter in Hamon. Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Bichu (No) Kami Tachibana Yasuhiro was the founder of Kishu-Ishido School. It is said that he was an elder brother of Tameyasu. Yasuhiro's real name was Tomita Gorozaemon, moved to Osaka and worked as the founder of Osaka-Ishido school. After becamed Bichu (No) Kami, he started to engrave the crest of an open chrysanthemum flower on the reverse side of the tang.
He was a founder of the Bizen Choji-midare Oosaka Ishido and also he made Doranba hamon who was very technical swords smith.
This sword is typical his Bizen Choji-midare Hamon. Over the Hamon, clear Utsuri appear.
