The blade was polished
habaki:gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 38.1 cm or 15.00 inches.
Sori : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.86 cm or 1.12 inches.
Kasane : 0.52 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Edo period Keian era.
Shape : The blade is regular size width and thickness and longer with saki sori style.
Jitetsu : Item hada well grained with jinie attach zanguri had which looks like kunihiro.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha and noter from the Hamachi area and then gunome midair with thick nioikuchi like sosyuden style. I Hamon, there are sunagashi and kinsuji work.

Special feature : Echizen Daijyo Fujiwara Kunitsugu was reported as a student of Dewa Daiyo Fujiwara Kunimichi.
The deki (Hamon and Jigane) looks typical Dewa Daijyo Fujiwara Kunimichi.
Probable He made a lot of swords for his master.
Therefor he made few swords during his sword life.
This sword is nice Hamon and fantastic quality.
The sword itself looks Dewa Daijyo Kunimichi.
On both sides of the blade, engraved a dragon which is called Ranma sukashi engraving.
I think this Horimono looks Atobori but good work.

Koshirae : Aikuchi Koshirae NBTHK Hozon To-sogu.
Fuchikashira : Gold iroe.
Saya : On the black roar saya. a dragon is painted by gold color.
Menuki : An arrow is engraved by ssyaakudo plate with gold color.
Kozuka : On the syaakudo plate, an arrow is engraved with gold color.
Kogatana : Mumei
Box : 2 stages box.
