Signature : Harimadaijyo Fujiwara SHigetaka first generation.
Echizenjyu

The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper single habaki.
Blade length : 50.3 cm or 19.8 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.00 cm or 1.18 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.05 cm or 0.8 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Early Edo period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy good meat Wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with jinie attach blackish jigane.
Hamon : Niedeki wavy noter gunome with thick nioikuchi and boshi is ichimai round shape.

Special feature : First generation Harima Daijyo Fuhiwara
Shigetaka was born at Sinsyu Iida and studied at Mino province
and then moved to Echizen province. His subjects are very similar
with first generation Yasutsugo and Higo Daijyo Sadakuni.
The signature is rather flattened interesting shape but later generation is different longer shape.
First generation Shigetaka is few swords are left.This sword is
good Jigane and nice wavy gonome midair with thick nioikuchi
which is very attractive subject.

Koshirae : Tsuka ito need repair.
Tsuba :On the iron Tsuba, some design are engraved open work.

Fuchikashira : On the syakudo nanako plate, flowers are engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black kizami saya.
Menuki : Flowers are engraved with gold color.
