Wakizashi : Inshu Ju Fujiwara Kanesaki

Wakizashi in Koshirae(Guarantee: NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Inshu Ju Fujiwara Kanesaki 

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This nshu Ju Fujiwara Kanesaki belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
habaki:copper double habaki.
Blade length : 50.6 cm or 19.92 inches.
Sori : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.99 cm or 1.17 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.21 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo period Genroku period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thich with deep sori and longer kissaki.
Jitetsu : Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach and visible to see the texture.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Notare Ha with Ko-Ashi. Boshi is round sheop.

Special feature : The founder of the Kanesaki started from late Muromachi oeriod to late Edo period.
The Insyu Kanesaki made swords at many places.
I think this sword was made at Genroku era because of the shape of the blade.

Koshirae : The Koshirae looks Inaba koshirae.
Tsuba :On the brass round shape Tsuba, willow tree is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira :On the iron plate, cheree floweres are engraved with gold and silver color.
Saya : black kawanuri saya.
Menuki : a lobster is engrabed by copper.

Historical background: Edo Genroku era was peaceful age and merchants work vividly and powerful.
