Showa 54 nen 4 gatsu Kichijitu (April Lucky day 1979)

Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Iyo Matsuyama Jyu Seiken belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 57.8 cm or 22.75 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.40 cm or 1.33 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.50 cm or 0.98 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Showa period.(1979)
Shape : It is wide and thick magnificent wakizashi. There is three Dokko Ken engraved on the front side of blade and lotus-shaped pedestal engraved on back side of blade.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. Fine chikei work is seen. It is fine jigane.
Hamon : Nie Deki Gunome Midare mixed with nice Ashi activities. Boshi is round end.

Special feature : Seiken, his real name Goda Toshiyuki, was active in Matsuyama city of Ehime prefecture. He has become a student of Toriu HIromasa at Showa 14th year. He has been making sword in Gunto making factory in Showa 19th year. After the war time, he has learned from Saikai Shigemasa the engraving og the blade.
This blade is 3.4cm wide and thick blade. The engraving is also very impressive.
