Wakizashi in Koshirae (Guarantee NBTHK Hozon Token)

Signature : Jyumyo

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Copper plate with gold color.
Blade length : 54.4 cm or 21.43 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.06 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Edo middle period.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with Kanbun shape.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with jinie attach nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair and round shape boshi.

Special feature : Jyumyo is sold as good fortune from Muromachi period to Edo period.
So Samurai and Daimyo presented as a gift for birthday, coming-of-age ceremony or other purpose.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the iron Mokko shape plate,water fall ,shish dog and stream are engraved.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo nanako plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color.
Saya : On the black roar saya, dragon is painted as Kagee style and also clouds are painted by gold color.
Menuki : On the syakudo plate, a shish dog is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka : On the syakudo nanako plate, a Samurae and a man who run away from the disaster of the thunderstorm.
Kogatana : Yoshimichi.
