Suekoto; Futsusaku: Mino
The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 49.84 cm or 19.62 inches.
Sori : 0.90 cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.72 cm or 1.07 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.05 cm or 0.8 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is wide and thick shallow sori wakizashi.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grainedw ith jinie attached. The hada pattern is clear in the jigane.
Hamon : Konie Deki tight gunome hamon. Boshi is round end.

Special feature : Late Muromachi period. There were many sword smith who were named Kanesada
and it is alike Sukesada swords in terms of the fact that it is mass produced item.
The knakago is Yari gaki Yasurime and the jigane is well grained work. It is unique to Mino work.

Historical background: War time.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Mokko shape iorn tusba with raised rim. there is a design
that is most likely a phoenix. It is inlaid with gold.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo nanako-ji plate,Samurai is engraved with gold color
Saya : Black Roiro saya
Menuki : Shakudo plate with flower design engraved and inlaid with gold.
Kozuka : Shakudo nanakoji plate wth fighting warrior design engraved
and inlaid with gold. There is some hollow parts at the back.
Kogatana:It is engraved signature Omohito Masakiyo.
