Wakizashi in Koshriae

Signature : Kuroda Takanobu Zou

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyojyo Saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Single copper blade.
Blade length : 40.6 cm or 15.98 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.92 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period around Bunka era.
Shape : Wide and thick blade with Sori.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is clear.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Deep Nioikuchi Gunome Midare.
Boshi is Hakikake shape.

Special feature : Kuroda Takanobu was a swordsmith of the domain of Sakura. He also lived in Settsu privince.
There are many excellent works for his blade and also his blades are very rare.
This Wakizashi is looks like Mizuta Kunishige, and the healthy blade has long Chikei work.

Koshirae :
Saya : Black Roiro saya.
Tsuba : On the iron tsuba, the rim is ridely placed and Fuji mountain design on the ji.
Menuki : On the Shakudo plate, word is engraved.
Fuchikashira : On the Shakudo plate, dragon is engraved with gold Iroe.
