Wakizashi in Shirasaya, with Koshirae

Signature : Mutsu Daijyo Miyoshi Nagamichi

Sayasyo was done by Tanobe sensei : Mutsu Daijyo Miyoshi Nagamichi
Ubu nakago with 8 kanji the blade both jigane and Hamon are typical special feature of the nagamichi and good work.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 53.9 cm or 21.2 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.12 cm or 1.22 nches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.21 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick healthy blade.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with jinie attach strong feeling texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midair. Boshi is snaked head shape round like Kotetsu style.

Special feature : Mutsu Daijyo Miyoshi Nagamichi was a swored maker in Aizu clan and a son of the Miyoshi masanaga and called Miyoshi Tokichiro. He was born at Kanei 10th.
He got the title of the Mutsu Daijyo at Manji gannet July 13th. and passed away Teikyo 2nd 53 years of age.
His subject is very similar with Kotetsu.
His sword is well known as cut well swords and selected 10 the most cut well swords in Japanese sword makers.
This sword is nice Jigane and hamon healthy blade.
At this moment Mr Tanobe sensei wrote the sayagaki for this sword.
So We guarantee NBTHK Hozon paper.
I think Tanabo sensei's sayagaki is better than NBTHK shins paper.

Koshirae :
Tsuka : Black brown leather color.
Tsuba : On the round shape syakudo plain plate, 3 rabbits are engraved open work.
Fuchikashira : Fuchi:On the iron olate, some design are painted by gloss color. Kashira : Syakudo plain plate.
Saya : Aogai chirasi(tiny blue shell powder spread on the saya)
