Wakizashi: Noshu Seki Ju Kanefusa

Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Noshu Seki Ju Kanefusa

Sue Koto: Chujo Saku: Mino province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to Jyojyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 35.5 cm or 13.97 inches.
Sori : 0.4 cm or 0.15 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.84cm or 1.11 inches.
Kasane : 0.49 cm or 0.19 inches.
Era : Muromachi period, Eiroku era(1558-1570)
Shape : Regular size, Shobu-Tsukuri Wakizashi.
Jitetsu: Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
The hada pattern is well seen.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with Togari Gunome mix.
Boshi is Midarekomi Hakikake style.

Special feature :Noshu Seki Ju Kanefusa has continued some generations.
This blade was made around Eiroku era. We see frequently some Kizu
or rough texture on the Seki school's blade. But this blade is healthy and cut well.
In particular, 兼定Kanesada, 兼元Kanemoto, 兼房Kanefusa and 兼貞Kanesada
are well known sword smith in Seki school.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Iron Tsuba with open work.
Fuchikashira: Iron, dragonfly is engraved with gold color.
Saya: Various Same skin Saya.
Menuki: Sahkudo, dragonfly is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka: Benkei and Ushiwakamaru are engraved.
