Wakizashi in Shirasaya with Koshirae(NBTHK Hozon Paper)

Signature : Ujifusa

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Ujifusa belongs to Jyo Saku ranking.
Habaki: gold foiled single Habaki.
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 32.1 cm or 12.63 inches.
Sori : 0.8 cm or 0.31 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.80 cm or 1.10 inches.
Kasane : 0.52 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi oeriod.
Shape : The blade is Mitsumune style and rather wide
and longer which is called Sunobi Tanto.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach soft feeling nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare with ashi, yo work.
Especially from Moniuchi area to Kissaki is wild feeling active wild hamon.

Special feature : There are famous Ujifusa are Wakasa Kami Ujifusa and Hida Kami Ujifusa.
From the signature, the blade looks Wakasa kami Ujifusa of early stage.
Wakasa Kami Ujifusa was born at Tensyo 3rd at Mino province and moved to Owari later on.
The blade is square style gunome midare Dignified work and togari boshi(kissaki).
At Tensyo 18th he passed away. but his son Hida kami Ujifusa made wild active nice swords.
This sword is elegant mitu mune style sunnobi Tanto is welcomed by high ranking sword collectors.
The blade is healthy so we recommed this Tanto.
Ujifusa was wellcommed by Owari high ranking samurai.

Koshirae :
Tsuba :Hamidasi tsuba :On the iron plate, a dragon is engraved with gold color.
Fuchikashira :On the syakudo plate, waves design are engraved with gold color.
Saya : black roiro saya.Menuki :
Kozuka : on the syakudo plate, a dragon and clouds are engraved with gold color.
