The blade was polished.
Habaki : Silver single habaki.
Blade length : 47.0 cm or 18.50 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 3.07 cm or 1.2 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.14 cm or 0.84 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Early Edo period.
Shape : The blade is rather wide and thick healthy blade and deep sori.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attach nice fine texture.
Hamon : Niedeki gunome midare with ash and sunagashi work and Boshi is turns back long yakisage style.

Special feature : Shinano Daijyo Fujiwara Tadakuni was called Yamamoto Hachidaiyu and a student of the Dewa Daijyo Kunimichi and helped him for making swords.
Kanei era, he moved to Inshu province and changed his name to Tadakuni and after that Kanei 11th August, he got the title of Sinano daijyo. He passed away Kanbun 6.
This blade is healthy and good meat without kizu and flow.

Historical background: At 1637, Kanei 14th, Shomabara (revolution) no ran occurred.
Early Edo period, at Shimabara which was occupied by Arima Harunobu fuddle estate occurred revolution because severe collection of tax(rice) and religion suppression(Christian). Especially Amakusa Shiro main leader commanded farmers, poor samurai, and Christians and battled against feudal lord but defeated.
After that Tokugawa shogunate ordered to Shimabara Daimyo Matsukura Katsuie punishment of decapitation and rupture of diplomatic relations between Japan and Portugal because portuguese were performed the propagation activities of Christianity.
