Wakizashi:Dewa no kami Houkyou Minamoto Mitsuhira

Wakizashi in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Paper)
Signature:Dewa no kami Houkyou Minamoto Mitsuhira

Shinto : Jyo-saku ranking : Ryo wazamono : Musashi province.

The blade was polished but need polish again.(additional fee ¥30,000)
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 55.45 cm or 21.83 inches.
Sori : 0.6 cm or 0.23 inches.
Mekugi :1
Width at the hamachi : 2.93 cm or 1.15 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.03 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.64 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Edo period Kanbun era.
Shape : The blade is wide and thick with small sori Kanbun style.
Jitetsu : Itame hada and mokume hada mixed with jinie attach and clear Utsuri appear on the Ji.
Hamon : Nioideki and konie mixed Choji midare very active almost reach to the shinogio line.
In Ha, there are small sunagashi work.
Boshi is round shape.

Special feature : Dewa no kami Houkyou Minamoto Mitsuhira lived Koushu moved to Edo. He was a young brother of Tsunemitsu.
Mitsuhira was named Dewa No Kami and then changed the name to Dewa Nyudo and changed Dewa Nyudo Taishin Hokyo Minamoto Mitsuhira with kikumon (Kiku family crest) on the top of the tang.
At Edo, Mitsuhira, Tsunemitsu and Ishido Korekaze and other Masatoshi are well known Ichimonji style sword makers.
This sword has a Sumigomori on the border line of the Hamon about 10 cm from the Hamachi area but not so bad.
If the blade will be polished, the blade will be changed a lot.(additional fee ¥30,000)
The sword is wide and thick good sword of Ichimonji style.
