Shinto Jo-josaku ranking, Yamashiro province.
The blade was polished .
Blade length : 51.0 cm or 20.07 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.81 cm or 1.10 inches.
Wide at the Kissaki : 2.07 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era : Early Edo period. Kan-ei era.
Shape : This blade is wide and thick Suriage Wakizashi with little Sori.
And signature “Dewa Dai” remain.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with Jinie and Chikei attach.
Hamon : Niedeki Notare and Gunome midare are mixed.
In Ha, there are little Sunagashi and Kinsuji.

Special feature : This blade was made by Dewa Daijo Kunimichi the 1st.
Kunimichi learned under Iga no kami Kinmichi and Horikawa Kunihiro.
He was born in 1576, and his first signature was “Kunimichi”.
He made very active and beautiful Hamon, and his style is varied.
It is said that he received signature “Dewa Daijo” in about 1614 ~1615.
This blade is Suriage. But this blade must be Dewa Daijo Kunimichi the 1st.

Kozuka : On the Shakudo nanako, horses are engraved with gold and silver color.
