Wakizashi

Wakizashi:Shinano Daijyo Fujiwara Tadakuni.

Wakizashi: NBTHK Hozon paper.

Signature:Shinano Daijyo Fujiwara Tadakuni.

The blade is polished, with Shirasaya.
Blade length:59.9cm or 23.6inches.
Sori: 2.0cm or 0.787inch.
Width at the hamachi: 3,04cm or 1.2inches.
Width at the Kissaki: 2.14cm or 0.83inches.
Thickness at the hamachi: 0.65cm or 0.256inch.
Era: Edo period Teikyo era.
Shape: The blade is wide and thick healthy blade.
This wakizashi is almost sword length and nice elegant shape.

Jitetsu: Itame-hada well grained with much Jinie attach and Chikei appear on the Ji.
Hamon: Suguha starts from the hamachi area and from this point, Big Gunome midare Hamon which is called Toran hamon.
In Hamon, small Kinsuji and Sunagashi work.

Special feature.
Shinano Daijyo Hujiwara Tadakuni continued from early Edo to Shinshinto period.
This blade is 2nd generation Tadakuni.
On the Shinogi ji, there is a ware but not so bad.
The blade was polished by Mukansa polisher.
Therefor the blade is quite beautiful and give us a nice impression.
Deep Nioikuchi is remarkable.
