Polished by high rank polisher.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saku)
This Hizen koku Kawachi Kami Fujiwara Masahiro Second generation belongs to Jyojyo ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Gold single foiled habaki.
Blade length : 64.98 cm or 25.58 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.06 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or inches.
Era : Edo Period Circa Kanbun (1661-1672)
Shape : It is 2 Sun Suriage Katana. Regular size nice shape Katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well graine dwith jinie attached. It is clear Hizen style Konuka hada.
Hamon: Nie deki gunome midare iwht deep Nioiguchi.
The hamon is just like an eye of snake and the activities on the hamon
such as sunagashi and kinsuji work is just like the summer clouds.

Special feature : Kawachi (No) Kami Masahiro was born as a son
of Kawachi Daijo Masahiro the First in 1627 and passed away in 1699.
Kawachi (No) Kami Masahiro was very good at gunome-midare.
He also tempered suguha-hamon and other kinds midare-ba. It was in common with deep nioi-kuchi.
On this work, small itame-hada bears thick jinie. Choji-midare
and gunome-midare are in perfect harmony. Abound Kinsuji
and sunagashi remind us of towering thundercloud.

Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with crane, turtle and wave design engraved.
Fuchikashira : Shakudo plate with cloud and dragon design engraved and inlaid with gold.
Saya : Black lacquered saya.
Menuki : Cloud and dragon design engraved and inlaid with gold.
