Dai : Katana in Shirasaya

Signature : Heisei 3nen 8gatsu hi Yusuishin Sadayoshi Sadahito Gassaku(Mukansa)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : double foiled gold habaki.
Blade length : 77.2 cm or 30.39 inches.
Sori : 2.3 cm or 0.90 inches.
Mekugi :1
Width at the hamachi : 3.19 cm or 1.25 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.26 cm or 0.88 inches.
Kasane : 0.75 cm or 0.29 inches.
Era : modern times
Shape : Wide and thick with deep Sori and long Kissaki. On both side, there Bo-hi.
Jitetsu : Ayasugi hada with Jinie and Chikei attach.
Hamon : Nie deki Gunome midare. In Ha, there are many Sunagashi and Kinsuji.
Boshi is Midarekomi style.

Special feature : Sadayoshi was a modern swordsmith in Tokushima prefecture.
He was born in 1908. In 1928, he started to study forging under Gassan Sadakatsu.
In 1943, he moved to Mishima of Shizuoka prefecture from Tokushima prefecture,
and he moved many swords while World War 2.
He has gotten Nyusen prize many times, and he became a Mukansa swordsmith in 1996.
“Yusuishin” of his signature means clear spring water. And so, he might use clear springwater for making swords.
This polish is the highest level.

Kasane : 0.5 cm or 1.96 inches.
Era : modern times
Shape : Naginata Naoshi style
Jitetsu : Ayasugi hada with Jinie and Chikei attach.
Hamon : Nie deki Gunome midare. In Ha, there are many Sunagashi and Kinsuji.

Special feature : This Wakizashi is Naginata Naoshi style.
This is nice Soshu-den Ayasugi hada blade. This polish is the highest level.
