The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold single foiled habaki
Blade length : 44.7 cm or 17.6 inches.
Sori : 1.05 cm or 0.41 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.12cm or 1.23inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.22cm or 0.87inches.
Kasane : 0.69cm or 0.27inches.
Era : Edo period.
Shape : It is suriage machiokuri piece. It is wide
and thick with some sori. The kissaki is long ended.
Jitetsu : Itame had well grained with jinie attached.
There are some fine chikei works.
Hamon : Nie base with equal length round gunome midair piece.
Boushi is round ended. There are
ashi and sunagashi well attached.

Special feature : This sword was made by 3rd generation Yasutsugu.
After his brother died, 3rd generation Yasutsugu was departed Edo and Echizen.
This sword is Echizen 3rd generation Yasutsugu who was a 3rd son of
the great first generation Yasutsugu who was called Siro-uemon.
There is an Aoi crest on the tang. This is the third generation piece of Echizen.

Koshirae : Higo style issaku koshirae.
Tsuba : Round shape iron stub. There is a dragon and pine tree design engraved in simple lines.
It is inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira : On iron base, dragon is inlayed with gold.
Saya : Red brown ishimeji pattern saya.
Menuki : Shakudou base with flower design engraved.
Kozuka : On shinchu base, sponge cucumber is engraved and drawn by shinchu, shakudou and copper.
Kogatana : Ichijyo Shinano nokami (unclear) hiro
Bashin: Iron base with flower design engraved and inlayed with gold.
