Katana: Bichu Kuni Azae Ju Tameie

The blade was polished
Habaki : Gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 70.30 cm or 27.67 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.11cm or 1.22 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.17 cm or 0.85 inches.
Kasane : 0.69 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo Period circa Kanei (1624-1644)
Shape : It is wide and thick strong looking healthy katana
with slight sori. It is healthy katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached.
It is beautiful clear jigane.
Hamon : Nie base suguha with some nioiguchi seen. The habuchi is deep.
There is strong nie on the boushi area and it is round ended.

Special feature : Bichu Kuni Azae Ju Tameie is the brother of Saburou bee Kunishige's younger brother.
He has been called Kawano Umehira no jyo and his other name Azue Mizuta.
This katana has strong nie with mixture of gunome midare. It is active hamon sword.
This piece is soft suguha base wit deep nioiguchi. There are no kizu or flaw. It is wonderful katana.

Tsuba :Round shape iron tsuba with cloud and wa
Fuchikashira : Shakudou base with bamboo design engraved and inlayed with gold
Saya : Black roiro Inro kizami saya
Menuki : Shakudou plate with plum design engraved and inlayed with gold.
Kojiri: Unryu is engraved with silver.
