Katana: Hizen Koku Kawachi Masahiro (1st)

Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae. (NBTHK Hozon Paper)(Tsuba: NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Hizen Koku Kawachi Masahiro (1st generation)

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword belongs to Jyojyo Saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Habaki : Single silver Habaki
Blade length : 68.8 cm or 27.08 inches.
Sori : 1.5 cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.24 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.23 cm or 0.87 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Edo period, Kanbun era. (AD1661~1672)
Shape : Rather wide and regular thickness Katana.
There are Bo-Hi on both side.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Chu Suguha with thick Nioikuchi. The Habuchi is soft.
Boshi is round shape with thick Nioikuchi.

Special feature: Hizen Koku Kawachi Masahiro was born in Kanei 4 nen(1627). His name is Hashimoto Yashichiro. After the death of Masashiro first generation, he changed his name as Kawachi Kami Masahiro.
He passed away in 1699 at age of 73. This blade has thick Suguha.
The blade is very healthy. We recommend this blade very much.

Tsuba :signature: Seishu(NBTHK Hozon Paper) Round shape Shakudo Tsuba. The rim is coverd with gold.
Fuchikashira: Shakudo Ishime-Ji with family crest.
Saya : Black roiro Saya.
Menuki : Kiri Mon is engraved with gold color.
