Katana : Bu-un Nagahisa Ikaknsai Ikkansai Shigetoshi/Meiji 36 Nen 8 Gatsuhi 66 Okinasaku

Katana in Shirasaya, with Koshirae.

Signature : Bu-un Nagahisa Ikaknsai Ikkansai Shigetoshi.
Meiji 36 Nen 8 Gatsuhi 66 Okinasaku

(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku Jyo saku and regular saku)
This sword Ikkansan Shigetoshi belongs to Jyosaku ranking.

The blade was polished
Habaki : Copper single foiled Habaki
Blade length : 63.5 cm or 25 inches.
Sori : 1.4 cm or 0.55 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.24 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.40 cm or 0.94 inches.
Kasane : 0.7 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Meiji (1903)
Shape : It is wide and thick long Kissaki nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame hadawell grained with JInie attahce, Fine Chikei work is appearing and most Jigane.
Hamon : Nie deki suguha with mixture of Ko-NOtare mixed. There is KOashi appearing in the ha. Boshi is round ended.

Special feature : Ikkansan Shigetoshi was born in Tenpo 9th year in Shizuoka prefecture.
He becomes a student of Hamabe Toshinori in Tottori prefecture
He signed his signature Hisatoshi, Ikkansan Shigetoshi, SSoshu Jyu, Oite Suga Miyaguchi Ikkansan Shigetoshi.
He was skillful for engraving and known as the master of Toshin Bori(engraving on the blade).
At Meiji 39th year he died at the age of 69. He is well known for the Gendaito Miyaguchi Yasuhiro's grand father.

Koshirae : Army Gunto Koshirae. The condition is explicit.

Meiji Law school was renamed as Meiji University and Japanese-French Law School was renamed Hosei University.
At 30th of September, Oyuki, a Geiko of Kyoto, married the nephew of J.P. Morgan George Denison Morgan.
