Signature:Yagumo Masakiyo Saku
The blade was polished.
Blade length : 65.1cm or 25.62 inches.
Sori : 1.5cm or 0.59 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.28 cm or 1.29 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.20 cm or 0.86 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era :Showa period.
Shape : It is wide and thick nice sword with some sori. It is long end strong looking katana.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is clear muji style ji.
Hamon : Nie structure.Kogunome midare. Ashi well attached and boshi round end.

Special feature : Yagumo Masakiyo is a sword smith of Shimane prefecture.
He was born in Meiji 17th year and was named Tenzu Tomita.
He learned under his father Tenzu Munemasa or Kurihara Akihide.
He was formally an authorized army swordsmith. At Showa 17th year,
he became a chief of Izumo steel mill. He has won a prize of Award of Encouragement of Army Gunto skills.
He had 4 students. At the Selection of Kurihara Hikosaburo ”Seidai Tosho Kurai Reppyou"
he has ranked as Highest rank "Yokoduna kaku".
It could be pictured that Masakiyo has handed down this sword to his son who was heading to war as Navy.
