Habaki : Copper single foiled habaki
Blade length : 71.7 cm or 28.22 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.08 cm or 1.21 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Edo period Circa Jyo-ou (1652-1654)
Shape : It is regular width and thickness. On the front side there is a dragon wrapping on a sword and dokko engraved in So or "grass" kanji.
On the back side chain is engraved.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attahced. It is smooth jigane.
Hamon : Nie structure suguha. Boushi is round ended hakikake style.

Special feature : Fujiwara Sadayuki is a sword smith from Bungo province and was active at Jyo-Ou period.

Historical Background : Jyo-Ou Incident. Bekki Shouzaemon and his fellows has gone
to Zojyoji to set fire and steal money and kill members of shogun's coucil of elders.
The plan failed due to the betrayal of one of his members.
Bekki Souzaemon and many others has been executed in this accident.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with the rim inlayed in gold pattern. Choshu Jyu Tomoyoshi
Fuchikashira : Shakudo plate with wave @pattern engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Brown ishimeji saya
Menuki : Shishi dog is engraved in gold inlay.
Kojiri : Shakudo muji style
