The blade was polished.
Blade length : 73.9 cm or 29.09 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.24 cm or 1.27 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.60 cm or 1.02 inches.
Kasane : 0.71 cm or 0.27 inches.
Era : Modern times.
Shape : The blade is long and wide (3.24 cm) with long Kissaki gorgeous nice looking shape.
Bohi is on both side.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attached.
Hamon : Nie base gunome midare with ashi well attached.
It is very fine sunagashi and kinsuji work.

Special feature : Akamatsu Taro Kaneteru is a swordmsith of Kumamoto province.
His real name is Kimura Kanehiro. He and his brothers are excellent contemporary swordsmiths.
Their swords appeal strongly to us not only the shape but also brilliant temperline.
Higo no Kuni Kaneteru is a Gendai smith whom his real name is Kimura Yoshihiro.
He is one of the students of Akamatsu Taro. The Akamatsu Taro school uses original Tamahagane
for making swords so it is not difficult to see their characteristic from the jigane.
This blade is easy to understand Kiyomaro utushi. Akamatsu school.

Tsuba : Mokko shape iron Tsuba, 3 pine trees are engraved with open work.
Fuchikashira : Iron, cherry bloosoms are painted with gold color. Higo.
Saya : Black Roiro Saya.
Menuki : The flowers are engraved with gold color.
