Signature: Hizen Koku Juu Iga no kami Minamoto no Kikuhira

The blade was polished.
Habaki: Gold foiled single habaki
Blade length : 70.6cm or 27.79 inches.
Sori : 0.9cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi: 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.05 cm or 1.20 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.05 cm or 0.80 inches.
Kasane : 0.62 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Edo period.
Shape : It is nice mihaba, kasane regular shape. The sori is rather shallow.
Jitetsu :Koitame hada well grained with jinie attached. It is clear jigane.
Hamon: Nie base, gnome midare, kogunome mix. In the ha, there are delicate sunagashi. Boushi is mixed with the tip brushed up and round end.

Special feature : The Kikuhira was working at Hizen province Kanbun era.
According th the Fujisg¥hire Toko Jitenm he was working at Kyouto and moved to Hizen province.
The condition of the nakago is not good but whole signature is mentioned.
The blade itself healthy and active hamon.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with Japanese maple leaf engraved. Iron texture is good and the quality is fine. Shouami tsuba.
Fuchikashira :Fuchi: Shakudou nanakoji base with horse design engraved with gold inlay. Kashira: Shakudou nanakoji base with person engraved and inlayed with gold.
Saya : Black roiro saya
Menuki : Horse design engraved with shakudou. The eye is gold dot zougan. It is very dynamic design.
