Sayagaki 1: Horikawa Kunihiro 2ji Zaimei Shin * nari.
Hacho 2shaku 1sun 5bu ari kore.
Showa Kanotoi Yayoi Kanzan Shirusu. (Kao)
(This blade was made by Horikawa Kunihiro. And signature is 2ji-mei.
Blade length is about 65cm.
Mr. Kanzan wrote Sayagaki in March 1971.)

Sayagaki 2: Honto Kosaku Soshu Yukimitsu Utsushi,
Shikashite Deki Kessaku, Kotoni Chikei, Kinsuji no hataraki Migoto nari.
Chinjo.
Heisei Mizunoto Hitsuji reki Mutsuki Gekan.
Kogaku Tanzan Nabemichi Haiken awasete Tsuiki ryou.(Kao)
(This blade was madeto aim to Soshu Yukimitsu.
And blade quality is excellent. Especially Chikei and Kinsuji are wonderful. And this blade is very precious.

The blade was polished .
Blade length : 65.3 cm or 25.70 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi : 3
Width at the hamachi : 2.74 cm or 1.07 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.88 cm or 0.74 inches.
Kasane : 0.53 cm or 0.20 inches.
Era : Azuchi Momoyama period. about Keicho era.(about 1596)
Shape : Regular size Hamachi, and rather thin Kasane.
Suriage-Machi-okuri Katana with nice Sori.
Signature “Kunihiro” is engraved on Nakagojiri.
Jitetsu : Itame and Mokume are mixed, and covered in much Jinie and Chikei.
It is very beautiful and gorgeous Jitetsu.
Hamon : Konie based, Suguha and Notare are mixed.
Nioikuchi is very deep. There are many Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Ha.
Boshi is Tarumi style and round shape. It is typically Kunihiro’s Boshi.

Special feature : Kunihiro was born in Huga province, and he was a hired swordsmith of Ito family.
And he was a also Yamabushi (Japanese mountain priest).
He engraved signature “Yamabushi Kunihiro” when he was a Yamabushi.
He was allowed to engrave “Shinano no kami” in 1590.
And he moved to Horikawa area of Kyoto city in 1599.
Kunihiro taught Dewa Daijo Kunimichi and Kuniyasu and another Kunihiro and Kunisada.
They were called Horikawa shool, and they were good at engraving on blade.

There is Kizu (flaw) on the Mune around 10cm part from Hamachi.
But other parts are nice condition.
Jitetsu is very beautiful, and Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Ha are very attractive.
Therefore this blade looks like a Soshu Yukimitsu.
Especially, activities in Ha, and deep Nioikuchi are excellent !!
This blade is the one of the best quality Kunihiro blades.
We recommend this fantastic blade.
