Katana in Koshirae
Habaki : Gold double foiled habaki
Blade length : 62.7 cm or 24.69 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.79 inches.

Width at the hamachi : 2.73 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.65 cm or 0.65 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Middle to late Muromachi period.
Shape : It is Suriage mumei blade with regular size width and thickness.
Jitetsu : Itame hada with mixture of mokume hada with jinie attached. It is fine hada but there are some deep rusts seen in ji and ha.
Hamon : Konie base, kogunome with sunagashi, long kinsuji seen.
Special feature : This piece is mumei blades which may be identified as Matsuseki of Muromachi period or MIno Senjyuuinn blade.
There are some deep rusts on the blade so it is suitable for iai or batto blade.
The activity in the ha is nice so we are sure you will enjoy holding regardless of some defects.
Tsuba : Round shape iron tsuba with what looks like a Chinese phoenix is engraved and inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira , KOjiri : On suaka plate, family crest is engraved and inlayed.
Saya : Red color saya with Chinese phoenix and flower design is engraved and inlayed with gold, silver and black.
There are some tired parts on the saya but the design that is drawn is detailed and nice.
Menuki : Shakudou base with archery design engraved and inlayed with gold.
