Wakizashi : Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Sue Mihara

Wakizashi in Koshirae (NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Mumei(unsigned) attributed as Sue Mihara.

The blade was polished.
Habaki:copper plate single habaki.
Blade length : 53.93 cm or 21.23 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.9 cm or 1.14 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.72 cm or 0.28 inches.
Era :Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is suriage mumei(cut shortened) with thick and longer and engraved bo-hi on both sides of the blade.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attach with shirake Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha with Nezumi ashi. Boshi is round Hakikake style.

Special feature : At Bingo province, Mihara school was working from Late Kamakura period to late Muromachi period.
First stage Kamakura to Nanbokucyo period, we call Komihara,
At early to middle Muromachi perid, we call Mihara school.
At late middle to late Muroamchi we call Sue Mihara school.
According to NBTHK shins, the blade was judged as Suemihara school.
The blade is rather wide and nice sori typical Bingo school sword.
The blade is shirake Utsuri appear and soft feeling jigane.

Koshirae : The Koshirae is well balanced nice koshirae.
Tsuba : On the round shape iron Tsuba, mountains are engraved like Autmn atmosphere.
Fuchikashira : On the syakudo nanako plate, horse is engraved with gold color.
Saya : Black roar saya.
Menuki : Some design (unknown) is engraved with gold color.
Kozuka : On the syakudo plate, horses are engraved with gold color.
Wari Kogai : On the syakudo plain plate, some leaved are painted by gold color.
