Katana : Mumei (attributed as Sue seki school)

Katana in Koshirae

Signature : Mumei (attributed as Sue seki school).

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 74.4 cm or 29.29 inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.1 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : The blade is regular size with small sori.
Jitetsu : Itame hada well grained with jinie attach and masanagare (masame hada mixed).
Hamon : Niedeki Suguha with Uchinoke and double hamon. In Ha, there are many sunagashi and kinsuji work.
Boshi is Midarekomi and round shape.

Special feature : The blade looks like Kanbun style blade, but this blade is Sue seki school blade (made at late Muromachi period) from Hadadachi jigane, masanagare with Sunagashi and small kinsuji work in Ha.

Koshirae :
Tsuba : On the Mokko style Iron Tsuba, the horse which eats grasses no zu is engraved with gold color iroe.
Rim is raised.
Fuchikashira : Shakudonanako.
Saya : Black roiro saya.
Menuki : The cricket no zu is engraved.
