The blade was polished.
Blade length : 70.3 cm or 27.67 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.84 cm or 1.11 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.00 cm or 0.78 inches.
Kasane : 0.67 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Middle Kamakura period
Shape : Regular side Suriage Mumei Katana.
Jitetsu : Iitame Hada and Mokume Hada mixed and well grained
with Jinie attach and Chikei work wonderful nice texture.
There are Midare Utsuri.
Hamon : Oo-Choji and Kawazuko-Choji mixed with Togari-Ha.
There are Tobiyaki. Bright nioikuchi. There are many Sunagashi and Kinsuji in Ha. It’s very bright and beautiful Hamon.
Boshi is Midarekomi Yakizume style.

Special feature : Ichimonji is catagorized in Fukuoka Ichimonji, Ko Ichimonji, Yoshioka,
Katayama and Shochu Ichimonji. Fukuoka Ichimonji is the most highly valued of Ichimonji.
There is much ups and down with Midare Utsuri appearing. The hamon has ups
and down Kawazu Choji it is elegant work. This piece is elegant and dynamic work
thus it is attributed as Jyuyo Fukuoka Ichimonji. There is no Bo-Hi which makes the jigane
on the Shinogiji area clearly seen. It is Itame hada with micture of mokume hada.
It is just like jewelry graceful work. It is graveful hamon with strong Midare Utsuri.
From the fine jigane it is easy to imagine that it was stored carefully
by many high status Bushis. Please enjoy blissful time with this Ichimonji.
