Katana in Shirasaya (NBTHK Hozon Paper)

The blade was polished.
Habaki : single silver Habaki.
Blade length : 70.6 cm or 27.79 inches.
Sori : 1.2 cm or 0.47 inches.
Mekugi : 2 
Width at the hamachi : 2.95 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.34 cm or 0.92 inches.
Kasane : 0.68 cm or 0.26 inches.
Era : Early Edo period.
Shape : Wide and thick Suriage Mumei Katana. The Kissaki is long.
Jigane : Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. The Jigane is beautiful.
Hamon : Nie Deki, Gunome with thick Nioikuchi.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi and Kinsuji.

Special feature: Fujiwara Takada is a sword smith of Kyushu Takada province.
There are many sword smiths in there.
This Jigane is nice. The Nioikuchi is thick.
We guess that blade was made around early Edo period.
The blade is thick and wide. It is suitable for appreciation.
