Katana in Koshirae(NBTHK Kicho Paper)

Signature : Mumei (Harumitsu)

The blade was polished.
Blade length : 67.8 cm or 26.69 inches.
Sori : 1.8 cm or 0.70 inches.
Mekugi :2
Width at the hamachi : 2.67 cm or 1.05 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.75 cm or 0.68 inches.
Kasane : 0.63 cm or 0.24 inches.
Era : Late Muromachi period.
Shape : Wide with deep Sori blade.
Jitetsu : Koitame and Mokume mix. There are some Oohada.
Hamon : Ko-Niedeki Gunome Midare with Choji Midare.
In Ha, there are Sunagashi.

Special feature : sword smith of Harumitsu was started from Kyoroku era to Tensho era.
From this shape, this blade was made around Kyoroku era. We think that this blade is first generation of Harumitsu. Unfortunately there are rough texture. But there is no problem enjoy looking the blade.

Koshirae : Tachi Koshirae.
We think that this Koshirae was made around Meiji or Taisho period.
Tsuba : ellipse shape iron Tsuba.
