Signature : Mumei (attributed as Hatakeda Sanemori)
The blade was polished by high ranking polisher.
habaki:gold foiled double habaki.
Blade length : 73.33 cm or 28.87 inches.
Sori : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 2.96 cm or 1.16 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.09 cm or 0.82 inches.
Kasane : 0.55 cm or 0.22 inches.
Era : Middle Kamakura period Kenji era. 1275(739 years ago)
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened) the blade is deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada well grained and masame appear with jinie attach beautiful texture and midare utssuri appear.
Hamon : Nioideli with thick nikuchi cyoji midare and Kawazuko Cyoji midare mixed and gunome midare and also kogunome midare ashi yo work.
Nioikuchi is bright boshi is komaru and hakikake style boshi.

Special feature : Hatakeda Sanemori was a son of the Hatakeda Moriie and they worked from Kenji era to Koan, Seiou era.
Compare with Osafune swords, Hatakeda school is more active Cyoji midare, Kawzako cyoji midare hamon which is very bright marvelous active haamon.
This sword has very clear midare utsuri on the ji, and very active cyoji midare and kawazuko choji and yo work.

Back ground of the history : At kenji first, Syogun Hojyo Tokimune made Kyusyu Tandai in order to protect from attacking Mongol invasion.
