Katana in Shirasaya with Koshirae (NBTHK Tokubetsu Kicho Paper)

Signature:Mumei (Unsigned) attributed as Mihara school.
Sayasyo by Kanzan sensei:Mihara tadasi Oosuriage Mumei nar Shiroku koro Deki yorosi Hacyo 2syaku 2sun 8bu ari Syowa Mizunoene Syogatsu Kanzanshi.
Explanation by Kanzan sensei: The blade is Mihara school oosuriage mumei(cut shortened) middle Muramachi period Shitoku era which is very good work the length of the blade: 68.8 cm syowa 47th

The blade was polished.
Habaki :gold foiled single habaki.
Blade length : 68.8 cm or 27.08 inches.
Sori : 2.0 cm or 0.78 inches.
Mekugi:1
Width at the hamachi : 2.75 cm or 1.08 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.67 cm or 0.65 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Nanbokuchou period.
Shape : The sword is oosuriage mumei(cut shortened) and Both sides of the blade has Bi-hi engraved.
Jitetsu :Koitame had well grained with jinie attach beautiful nice texture.
Hamon : Niedeki suguha habuchi soft and round shaped hamon.

Special feature : The blade was judged as Mihara school by Dr Kanzan sensei.
I think the blade looks Tegai Kanekiyo especially the best quality koitame had with chikei.
Hamon is elegant hamon.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shape copper Tsuba, flowers are engraved.
Fuchikashira: Nanako plate, crane and moon are engraved.
Saya: Kawarinuri saya
Menuki: lobster and Naginata are engraved.
