The blade was not polished.
Habaki : Single gold kiss habaki.
Blade length : 69.09 cm or 27.20 inches.
Sori : 2.87 cm or 1.12 inches.
Mekugi : 2
Width at the hamachi : 3.15 cm or 1.24 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.08 cm or 0.81 inches.
Kasane : 0.47 cm or 0.18 inches.
Era : Late Kamakura period.
Shape : The blade is Oosuriage mumei (cut shortened) wide and thick with deep sori nice looking shape.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada and Mokume hada connived with thick jinie attach and Utsuri appear.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha and noter with ash and yo work.
Boshi Togari round shape.
In Ha, there are small sunagashi and Kinsuji work.

Special feature : Unji was working at Late Kamakura perios as Ukai school.
His father was Unsho. This school's wordsmith named Un (Kumo) on the top of the signature.
So we call this school as Unrui. Unsho, Unji, Unjyu are well known sword makers at this school.
Generally the hamon of the Unji is elegant suguha with ash like Aoe school.
This blade has well special feature of Unji which is very activity Jigane and Hamon.
I think this sword is good example of Unji.

Historical background: Genghis Khan from China attacked 2 times Japan but couldn't invaded because of typhoon.
