The blade was polished.
Blade length : 66.6 cm or 26.22 inches.
Sori : 1.6 cm or 0.62 inches.
Mekugi : 1
Width at the hamachi : 3.04 cm or 1.19 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 2.03 cm or 0.79 inches.
Kasane : 0.78 cm or 0.30 inches.
Era : Showa 18 Nen (1943)
Shape : It is wide and thick heavy katana with some curve. It is nice shape katana.
Jitetsu : Koitame had well grained with jinie attached. It is clear and beautiful jigane.
Hamon : Nie base undulating hamon (gunome) with mixture of clove shape hamon(choji).
Legs(ash) are well seen in the ha.

Special feature : Horii Toshihide was born in Meiji 19th year(1886) at Shiga prefecture.He starts his carrier as a student of Horii Tanetoshi at Meiji 37th year.
At Meiji 44th year he becomes adopted as Tanetoshi and later on receive the name of third generation Tanetoshi.
With Sakurai Masatsuku(Manji Masatsugu), he forged sword in Kura Zuisuiji Temple.
His record of sword making is impressive.
He has made the sword for dedication of 700's year anniversary of Gotoba Emperor.
