Wakizashi in Koshirae

Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to regular saku ranking.

The blade was polished.
Habaki : copper single habaki.
Blade length : 54.3 cm or 21.38inches.
Sori : 1.0 cm or 0.39inches.
Mekugi : 5
Width at the hamachi : 2.58 cm or 1.02inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.84 cm or 0.72inches.
Kasane : 0.57 cm or 0.22inches.
Era : Early Muromachi period.
Shape: Osuriage Mumei, regular size Wakizashi.
Jitetsu: Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attached.
There are clear Utsuri.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Suguha Hamon. There are some Shimi.

Special feature : If re-polished, the sword could
also be attributed as Enjyu school work.
It is work of early Muromachi period.
The Jigane is good with much utsuri work appearing.

Koshirae:
Tsuba: Round shape iron Tsuba. It is inlayed with gold.
Fuchikashira: Kojiri: Iron plate with patterns drawn in gold.
Saya: The top part is black rimmed saya. The below part is Azuki(red brown) saya.
Menuki:Shakudo plate with bat design engraved.
