The blade was polished.
Habaki :Silver single hanbaki.
Blade length : 66.66 cm or 26.24 inches.
Sori : 0.9 cm or 0.35 inches.
Mekugi:2
Width at the hamachi : 2.7 cm or 1.06 inches.
Width at the Kissaki : 1.76 cm or 0.69 inches.
Kasane : 0.66 cm or 0.25 inches.
Era : Late Nanbokucho period.
Shape : The blade is oosuriage mumei (cut shortened) with deep sori nice looking style.
Jitetsu : Koitame hada and masame hada mixed well grained with jinie attach with chikei quite well texture.
Hamon : Koniedeki suguha with kogunome midare with deep nioikuchi with ashi and yo work and Boshi is midarekomi komaru with hakikake style.

Special feature : This blade is oosuriage mumei and attributed as Kanetsugu by Honami Koson and also NBTHK shinsa.
The sword is excellent bright clear hamon and fantastic jigane.
There is a tiny Hakobore but it is easy to remove.
Kanenaga was founder of Tegai school and this school continued to Muromachi period and Edo period.
Kanetsugu belongs to late Komihara school late Nanbokucho period.
Early stage of Tegai school's jigane is very fine koitame hada and komokume hada mixed with thick nioikuchi like Soshu Yukimitsu but later generation Tegai school is mixed with Masame hada.
At Nanbokucho tegai school is quite well jigane and hamon especially inside of the hataraki of the hamon.
