Naginata: Hizen Koku Junin Tosa Kami Fujiwara Tadayoshi

Naginata in Shirasaya(NBTHK Hozon paper)

Signature : Hizen Koku Junin Tosa Kami Fujiwara Tadayoshi
Shito: Josaku: Hizen province.
(We divide 4 sections for each sword as Saijyo saku, Jyojyo saku
Jyo saku and regular saki)This sword belongs to Jyo saku ranking.
The blade was polished.
Blade length :  39.2 cm or 15.43 inches.
Sori : 2.4 cm or 0.94 inches.
Mekugi :  1
Width at the hamachi : 3.11cm or 1.22 inches.
Kasane : 0.82 cm or 0.32 inches.
Era : Edo period, around Kanei era.(1624-1645)
Shape : Wide nice shape Naginata.
Jitetsu: Ko-Itame Hada well grained with Jinie attach. It is Hizen Konuka Hada.
Hamon: Nie Deki, Gunome Midare with rather deep Nioikuchi. There are many Ashi and Yo.
Boshi is Midarekomi Kaen Fu.

Special feature :According to one theory, Tosa Kami Fujiwara Tadayoshi is younger
brother of Tadayoshi. His Jigane is typical Hizen "Konuka-Hada".
His Hamon looks like first generation of Tadayoshi. This blade is healthy and nice work.
